Heavy Doom Metal band BLACK LOTUS debut album Out Now!

Barcelona-based Heavy Doom Metal band BLACK LOTUS releases their debut album 'Sons of Saturn' October 19th 2018 by Inverse Records. Watch the Studio recording teaser here: https://youtu.be/nN3a6fAVqfE

Black Lotus was founded by Hug Ballesta in 2015. After consolidating the right line-up, the band headed to the Moontower Studios end 2017 to early 2018 for the recording and mixing of the album by Javi Félez. The mastering was done by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, Portland, Oregon.

Charlie Gotaskull comments: "We are very excited for the release of the album. Reviews so far have been incredibly positive. Now we are willing to see how the album is received by the audience and their level of acceptance. Hope it does as well as album reviews did."

The band is thrilled about the critics’ responses so far, with reviews’ scores on the range of 7.5 to 9 out of 10, from important channels, sites and online radios worldwide. They have organized a release show November 29th at Sala Monasterio in Barcelona, with the first participation of the new member Caio Pastore on the guitar. Black Lotus will share the stage with the renown Sludge Doom band Acherontia.

Christian Vil adds: “Our goal is to get people to listen to our music, so over the next months we will focus on maximizing album distribution and defending it in as many live shows as possible. We want to attract gig promoters and live show bookers for our inclusion in their rosters and multiplying live performances.”

Black Lotus' sound is grounded in the diverse influences of the band members. Traditional Heavy Metal is the common factor and driving force of the band, but alternative sounds of the 90s, Stoner Rock, Doom Metal and post metal genres are also elements in its crucible. Their compositions are embracing all those influences without limitations or dogmas. Likewise, lyrics are eminently symbolic, expressing a dystopic vision of society and their view of the world. Classic mythology, occultism, and personal experiences and personal visions are the sources for their compositions.

"Sons of Saturn" is available on all digital platforms worldwide.
