Heavy Metal newcomers Divine Intervention are proud to present, “By Your Decree,” an official music video to accompany the ironclad opening track from their debut EP, “Liminal.” The song itself is soaked in classic heavy metal grandiosity, culminating in a blistering guitar solo by guitarist Sean Wagoner, who shreds precariously on a cliff. Singer Alex Madrid found inspiration for the lyrics after hearing news that Scott Pruitt, a climate change denier, had been nominated to head the Environmental Protection Agency. “Its a song about being in the grips of tyranny, and dealing with the long-term effects of incompetent leadership."
Biography Divine Intervention is a congregation of ambitious heavy metal musicians, looking to find transcendence through riffs, and salvation in shredding. Formed in Los Angeles by Will Setka and fortified with the help of singer Alex Madrid and prodigal guitarist, Sean Wagoner, Divine Intervention aims to be a new name in the pantheon of metal divinity. Their latest studio release, “Liminal” is a journey through uncertainty that combines the tenets of Iron Maiden with the adventurously heavy styles of contemporaries like Between the Buried and Me, and Mastodon.
