August Life signs with Pt78 Records / Wayland Management
August Life is a stunning new prog / melodic rock / metal project by guitarist Gert Nijboer (Highway Chile, Deathriders, The Dutch Disciples) and singer Bryan Ketelaars (Armageddon, Auracle). August Life have recently inked a worldwide deal with the newfound label Pt78 Records and Wayland Management (Martyr, Rages Of Sin, Grim Ordeal, Circus Veil). The band just finished the recordings of their first full-length album ‘New Eternity’ which is due at 31 August 2018. Comments the Nijboer and Ketelaars: “We have been secretly working on this product for a little while now. We have recorded ‘New Eternity’ at Jack’s Place in Meerle, Belgium, which is owned by Jack Nobelen (ex-Horizon, ex-Savage). We invited several guests to join us on the album”. Guest performances include those from Hans in't Zandt (drums, Vengeance, Praying Mantis), Rob Van Der Loo (bass guitars, Epica, Delain) and Peter Vink (Q65, Ayreon) to namedrop only a few. “We are thrilled to announce that August Life has signed a deal with Pt78 Records. The label was established recently and therefore we are their number one priority today. This allows us to grow together with the label”. August Life’s music is for any fan of progressive melodic heavy metal in the vein of Rainbow, Dio, Ayreon and Avantasia. The band will start performing live at the end of 2018 and will do several festival shows in 2019.
