We're so excited to announce that we've partnered with EVO Band Apps to bring you an official Stryper Mobile app, now available for Apple and Android devices in the App Store and Google Play (just search Stryper). It's totally free and features all kinds of school stuff (tour dates, videos, photos, music, a fan wall, and more). It's a one-stop-shop for all things Stryper! Fans can also look forward to exclusive push notifications sent directly to their phones!
'IN GOD WE TRUST' 30TH ANNIVERSARY!
The new God Damn Evil album is not the only Stryper album to have God in the title. Thirty years ago, Stryper released the highly anticipated follow-up to their best-selling release, To Hell With The Devil. In God We Trust made a strong statement to the world - with Stryper proclaiming the same sentiment that our great country was founded on. It was as bold as it was diverse - from the ballads “I Believe In You” and “Lonely” to radio-friendly tracks like “Always There For You” and “Keep The Fire Burning," or fast and heavy songs like “The Writing’s On The Wall” and “The Reign.”
The album was produced by Stryper & Michael Lloyd, who had previously produced the soundtrack to “Dirty Dancing.” It was quickly certified Gold by the RIAA and Stryper set out on a world-wide tour that would take them throughout the US as well as to Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. BOOTLEG WARNING!!!
With all of the buzz surrounding Stryper right now, bootleggers are taking notice! More and more, Stryper bootlegs are popping up online, so be cautious!
Below are two photos, both taken from Ebay auctions. One shows an actual Y&BA concert shirt. The other is the same photo, but they Photoshopped the tag off.
Also, look for certain key words to figure out if they are legit. The most obvious one is REPRINT. Other words bootleggers like to use for shirts are "New without tags." Another clue is if they are selling multiple copies of the same item. And finally, most of the bootleggers Stryper has been dealing with are from foreign countries (mostly Hong Kong and Indonesia).
