MARTYR received thank you letter by Mayor of the city of Utrecht and continue to go strong in 2018
Just after 35 years celebration Martyr received a letter from the mayor of their hometown Utrecht. It states: Dear Mr. Bouwman / Dear Rick, It is already 36 years ago you started the heavy metal band Martyr in Utrecht. A band connecting music lovers in own country and abroad. A rehearsal facility in the north east part of the city. Your enthusiastic mentions of Utrecht in the media makes Martyr an ambassador for our city. Thank you for that. I wish you and your band members all good and a great musical future. Jan van Zanen Mayor Utrecht Martyr is chuffed to bits to get such a recognition. Martyr will play the freedom festival in Wageningen 5 May, playing festivals in The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium and will support the legendary Iced Earth in the Netherlands 26 and 27 June.
